In The Kitchen And On The Table
What is the thing that is most dear to the Italians? From a research promoted by Philips DAP, it appears that 8 out of 10 Italians the most important thing is to spend time together with their family. The survey was conducted by TickBox in 13 European countries, at the launch of the new line of appliances Philips Food, fun, easy to use and capable of making the preparation of food a moment embracing.

For the inhabitants of Bel country, the whole family gather around the dining table does not mean simply having a meal, but represents a convivial privileged, during which share the experiences of the day and stay with their loved ones. A very important when you consider that 79 percent of Italians say they organize themselves in order to consume at least one meal with family, compared with 50 percent of Swiss and only 38 percent of British.
The kitchen also represents for the Italians much more than other Europeans for the meeting for the entire family: from data collected over three quarters of respondents considered this environment the heart of domestic life. The British and Dutch, instead, identify particularly with its functional aspect, considering it first from all over the place dedicated to the preparation of meals.
Men and children, therefore, now playing an increasingly important role in sharing household responsibilities. It shows the fact that 32 percent of couples alternates Italian cooking and 12 percent involved, even just for fun, the whole family in the kitchen.
Even the smallest, then play a significant role in Italian kitchens. Encouraged by adults to deal with ingredients and pots, these new “levers” of gastronomy represent about half the child population. And 16 percent is even allowed to cook for other components of the family. This, incidentally, is a national prerogative, as in Germany and the UK only 10 per cent of small is authorized to approach the stove.
The investigation ordered by Philips is clear as the organization of domestic life, the allocation of tasks at home, eating habits of us Italians are continuously evolving. According Carolina Giacomuzzi Moore, Product Manager Philips Food & Beverage Italy, “the root of these changes there are reasons – as rhythms of life increasingly frenetic, the desire for fresh foods and more natural and re-installation of the classic family, such as’ soaring single el’emergere single parent families. ” In a society that changes remains a fixed point, however: the desire to share at least one meal with the whole family.
A choice not dictated by necessity, but lived as an occasion for sharing, fun, quality of life.
